After previously trying what I thought was the best cleansing balm by the Organic Pharmacy, I thought that this one was going to come second best. Gee was I wrong!
The Lucy Russell organics Cleansing Balm is amazing and now takes first place, hence the award I have just given it! The smell (delicious lemon) and the texture (which melts in your hands) is just heaven. Combined with the organic muslin cloth, the two used together leave your face feeling so clean yet with a comforting slight film afterwards (very good for dry skins!). You must use a cloth to remove this balm and I do recommend the one from Lucy Russell because it is such good quality. Very soft and fine, yet exfoliates and removes all traces of balm and makeup.

Lucy Russell, a highly skilled facialist used to work for Jo Malone in the very upmarket area of London on New Bond street.
After working with such beautiful products she began thinking that she would love to create her own handmade luxury organic range. She left Jo Malone and set about mixing special batches of as organic as possible products till she got them ‘just right’. The cleansing balm took her at least 40 tries to get it to the standard she wanted! You can tell she put so much time into it as texture is perfect, not too waxy and not too thin and the fragrance is just so appealing with a powerful organic lemon scent.

After using the Cleansing balm, its the perfect time to spray on the Lucy Russell Rose Toner. Made with rare organic Persian rose oil, it has a very luxurious and exotic scent. The first time I used it I thought, wow this is incredible! I also had over a friends two children, one was three and the other was five. I sprayed both of their faces (with eyes closed of course!) and both agreed it was lovely. Kids can be very fussy with smells, so just goes to show this one was a winner!
This sort of toner, not only good for the skin, is also good for the mind. When you spray it on, with closed eyes, you have a little bit of peace and quiet from the world, if only for a little bit. You think to yourself, ahhhh, heaven!
I take this upstairs to my bedroom at night and first thing in the morning, when my husband goes to work, he sprays this on my face to signal its time to get up! Some would say how awful of him but actually its lovely and wakes me up feeling fresh in the face and ready to jump out of bed.
During summer time this kind of product is very welcomed and would be great on an areoplane and in the handbag to spritz over makeup.
Whilst only a small range, I am highly impressed with the Lucy Russell Organics products. With such amazing blends of organic oils and high quality extracts they really will impress anyone.
