I have just tested out the most gorgeous summery products!
AmaZene is a range of amazon inspired ethical products. They are vegan and do not contain any harmful sulphates or horrible parabens.
Created by a father and son team, they have together, created a very affordable high quality yummy collection of bath, shower and body products that smell out of this world!
Tony Tillbrook, one half of AmaZene, has a very unusual past! He invented the ‘wetsuit’ in the 19 60’s and even our own Sean Connery wore one of his designs in the James Bond film, ‘Thunderball’.
He began to notice that many people after wearing these wetsuits, would have a skin reaction and led Tony to start thinking, is it the glue that is causing this?
Tony entered into many years of research to find out what was in our everyday products and was shocked to find out what was in skincare.

After years of travelling to far away places such as the Amazon, Tony became fascinated with all the incredible plants, berries and trees that grew there and the magical things they did for humans.
It led him to thinking, why don’t I make a range of products that is safe to use and combines these powerful ingredients?
And so, AmaZene was born!
With the help of his son Mark, they have created quite a large and fun range of bath, shower and body products, with certified organic ingredients that come straight from the Amazon Rainforest
They were quick to make sure that they would not harm the rainforest in any way and follow strict rules with how they source their ingredients.
They believe they must make sure their products are:
• From renewable resources
• Ecologically correct
• Do not damage the rainforest
There are 6 collections, with different scents and properties, each has a body scrub, body lotion, body butter, bath and shower gel, hand lotion, hand wash & bath soak.
In each product there is a blend that they call their ‘Amazonia ABC which is a certified blend of Acai, Babacu and Cupucau.
I have tried the Papaya & Acerola Bath and Shower gel and it smells SO nice. So summery and fresh, reminds me of a lovely cocktail you would get on a holiday somewhere tropical. The bottle really brightens up the bathroom as well. I tried this out last night and my husband said to me what is that beautiful smell?
It lathers up really well so you do feel super clean. Sometimes I find with natural/organic products they dont lather that great but these ones really do.
I have also got the Passion Fruit & Guava Bath and Shower gel to try, which looks equally pretty (bright yellow) and smells lovely too. They smell good enough to drink, but make sure you don’t, no matter how tempting!
The next thing I tried after my shower was the Passion Fruit and Guava Body butter. It is so decadent and rich! Really creamy and provides superb moisture.
Despite it being a bit warm at the moment, I did test this out for use during the day and I was impressed to notice that it didnt feel sweaty as some rich creams can. It really sinks in wonderfully and I know I will use it madly in winter as well. A teeny tiny bit spreads a long way.
I really love this range, its fab prices, ethics, protection of the amazon, company history and the fact that all of the products are strictly vegan.
I also think its great that it was created by a father and son team as well. Its nice to see families share the same ethics and want for a better environment.
The products range in price from £6.95 – £14.95 – similar prices of things in the supermarket or chemist but without the horrible cheap fillers and chemicals!
