I like to treat myself naturally and that goes for my dog Coco too. She has eaten an organic diet mostly all of her life so far. She has never been seriously sick or have we taken her to the vet for a mystery virus. She is 3 years old and is in pretty good shape! At the moment though, she is suffering from a tooth infection because two of her teeth have not fallen out. They should have when she was a puppy but for some reason they haven't and the teeth have become quite infected at the top. The poor thing has been advised (or should I say, we have been advised) to have them removed - which won't exactly be a nice procedure to go through.
She is very lethargic at the moment as the infection is making her quite tired and I imagine the teeth hurt a bit too.
We have scheduled her operation for a few weeks time but between now and then I wanted to give her some natural things to help her get through the next few weeks.
Helios Homeopathy, are a very long established homeopathy company in the UK and are very well recognised all over the country for being one of the original homeopathy brands. They make a whole range of products for humans (children too) and also for pregnant women and when they are also in labour.

And the Royal Family are big advocates of homeopathy - they have used it for years and Prince Charles certainly sings it's prasises.

Helios Homeopathy have made this absolutely brilliant kit which can be used on Cats, Dogs and even Horses. It contains a case of homeopathy pills each in tiny glass bottles which are clearly labeled. There is also a bottle of a a flower essence which is to relieve stress and is perfect in emergency situations (say if your pet had an accident or got frightened by something).
The kit is really impressive as they have thought of every situation a pet may get into health wise and it allows the owner to treat at home as much as you can without needing veterinary intervention - unless it is very serious that is! You won't be able to heal a broken bone without visiting a vet but you will certainly be able to calm the animal down and also treat it afterwards with homeopathy.
What I love about this kit (apart from the super high quality!) is the very detailed instruction booklet that comes with it. There are so many tiny bottles that it may seem at first very hard to know which to use, but with this booklet it clearly explains everything - from how homoepathy first came to be known and how the pills are made and also when and what to use and how often.
It also has an alphabetical listing of illness and ailments and describes the symptoms to watch out for. Then at the back, each remedy also is listed with what they do as well - so you have two ways of finding out information in regards to the pills.
What I absolutely love about Homeopathy for humans and for pets, is that it is completely SAFE and cannot be overdosed on. Even if someone or an animal was to swallow a huge amount it would not seriously affect them. The concentration in these pills is just so minute!
I have been giving coco some Aconite which is to help her with her infection around her tooth. It can also help with a fever which tends to go hand in hand with an infection. It's early days yet and she does need to have her teeth out soon but she has been eating a bit better since we have given her some pills to take. And she loves them! I was worried that we would have to open her mouth for her and shove them in but the little cutie just loves to eat them by herself! They taste like sugar you see so a dog with a great sense of smell will just want to eat them up!
I love that this kit contains so many rememdies for a whole ton of things. I feel like its everything I need for treating her at home without needing any medical type drugs.
Another great thing about this kit is that it comes with a large sized bottle of pet shampoo which contains nothing but safe ingredients in it- and this too is homeopathy based as well. The shampoo is lovely and I even tried it on my own hair (should I have just admitted that hmmm?) and it was very soothing on my scalp and smelt great too! Its a shampoo that is so mild and it was just lovely on Coco's fur. You can also use it on horses as well and Cats too if you wash them but I dont' think they really need washing - although we used to wash our cat years ago but only because we didn't know any better!
And the last product in the kit is a pot of balm which is for sore spots on the animal, such as sore paws or scratches on body. Again this is such great quality that it could also be used on humans if needed! It smells absolutely lovely as well! Coco hasn't got sore paws but I did try it on hers and she had a good sniff then proceeded to lick the product off - smelt so good to her obviously!

What an absolutely fantastic brand!
