Sarah Best
It is an absolute honour to have Sarah Best featured on Miss Eco Glam. Sarah was the editor of the very popular ‘Get Fresh’ Magazine for about 7 years. She made the magazine what it is today, and is now doing her own thing for ‘Sarah Best Health.com’. Sarah’s articles are absolutely fantastic, very current and also on things you might not have heard of previously. Sarah has a strong background with Raw Food Lifestyle but writes about so much more than that. She really researches her articles and has a wonderful writing style. Always interesting and inspiring, Sarah is also a food coach as well and in my opinion, would be one of the best!

“I’m afraid it’s bad news. You have cancer.”
Let’s say the person hearing these words is a woman in her 50s. Though it could just as easily be a man. Or a woman (or man) in any other decade of life.
First point is, whoever they are, chances are good that it doesn’t occur to them to do anything other than follow doctors’ advice.
What would you do if someone stole your life savings? The Story of The Raw Vegan Village Scam
Tuesday, 24 April 2012 05:00 Published in News Intro here written by me, Anna Rodgers - Most of us dream of living in an eco community surrounded by like minded 'loving' people who are into health and vegan living. Some of us will do anything such as pouring our life savings into a development which promised beautiful houses, luxury surroundings and would be run by 'trusted people.' Well what if you believed the lies you were told and gave ALL your money into a development that never got off the ground? What if you were told that you could 'have your money back at any time' yet when it came down to it, that promise was never fulfilled, even after years of being told many other promises. What if you found that your money actually went into other business's and were told that this was how you were going to get your money back! Well, read on, this is not a fantasy story, this is true.....approx 30 investors gave close to 1 million US dollars to Storm and Jinjee Talefero's Raw Vegan Village who to this day have not returned a dollar to any of the victims....

The four macrobiotic principles we should all be following
Tuesday, 06 March 2012 19:11 Published in Macrobiotic If macrobiotics is not a philosophy you’ve yet looked into, chances are the term conjures up visions of image-obsessed celebrities and other food fanatics and a dietary regime of extreme complexity and rigidity.
While there is an element of truth to this stereotype, you may be surprised to learn that macrobiotics, practised intelligently, is all about freedom. The term macrobiotics actually means “big life” (from the Greek “macro” which means “big” or “great”, and “bios” which means “life”).

Why very high fruit diets are a *disaster* for most of us

Every morning Lara Williams sits down to a breakfast of cottage cheese on rye bread. A multivitamin tablet chased down with a 150ml glass of pomegranate juice (out of a bottle) completes the first meal of the day. Lunch is usually a chicken breast with half a cup of brown rice or pasta and a carefully-chosen selection of grilled vegetables. Dinner is fish with different vegetables (this time steamed or boiled) and a side salad.
We’re just four weeks into 2012 and I’ve already made a health discovery that’s really got me excited.
I’ve started eating 1-3 bowls of fresh miso soup every day after learning about the amazing properties of miso.
We always trust people in the natural health world, more so than Medical Doctors, yet are they always giving us the best advice?

It’s obvious really isn’t it? We know that wild dogs, cats, birds, horses, rodents and rabbits all eat raw food in their natural habitat. And it really isn’t that long ago that we started to domesticate these species for our own pleasure and companionship; certainly not long enough ago for them to have “adapted” to eat cooked food.
